House Rules

Welcome to Kasteel Oost!

We are proud of our unique location where guests can enjoy our hotel, restaurant, castle, gardens and event venue. To make everyone’s experience as enjoyable and safe as possible, we have the following house rules.

General

Respect for the location

Kasteel Oost is a historic building and we ask all guests to treat it with care and respect.

Behavior

Visitors are expected to behave respectfully toward other guests, staff and the environment. Aggressive or annoying behavior will not be tolerated.

Liability

Kasteel Oost is not liable for loss, theft or damage to personal property. Any damage to the building, interior or garden caused by visitors will be recovered from the perpetrator.

Children & Animals

Children

Children under 18 are welcome, if supervised by an adult. Please note that the grounds contain ponds, stairs and other elements that require extra care.

Pets

Pets are allowed outside. If you wish to bring an animal inside, you must consult with us in advance.

Smoking, Alcohol & Safety

Smoking

Smoking is permitted only in designated outdoor areas.

Alcohol & drugs

The use of alcohol is permitted within reasonable limits. The use of drugs or excessive alcohol consumption is not permitted. In case of nuisance, we reserve the right to intervene.

Open fire / candles

Due to fire safety concerns, open fires, fire pits and candles are permitted only by arrangement and in locations approved by us.

Events & Parties

End Time

Parties last until no later than 01:00 a.m., with a run-out to 01:30 a.m. for completion and departure.

Sound

We strive to achieve a good balance between party and comfort for all guests. During events, the maximum noise level on the dance floor is 95 dB(A). In other indoor and outdoor areas, the sound may not be disturbingly audible to other guests, such as hotel visitors.Sound systems are adjusted in consultation with us. In case of nuisance we reserve the right to adjust the volume.

Guidance

During events, a contact person from the organization/client should always be present and remain accessible.

Decorations & confetti

The use of decorations such as confetti, rose petals or rice is allowed only if they are made of environmentally friendly and biodegradable material. The use of plastic or glitter confetti is not permitted. If in doubt, please contact us.

Hotel guests

Rest periods

We ask our hotel guests to keep quiet after 11:00 p.m. so that all guests can have a pleasant stay. Noise in the corridors, on the stairs or in the rooms will not be allowed.

Use of the room

The hotel rooms may only be used for the stay of the booked guests. Organizing events or parties in the hotel rooms is not allowed without prior permission from the reception desk.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed in the hotel rooms. Special smoking areas are available for this purpose.

Pets

Pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms unless pre-arranged and confirmed at the time of booking.

Damage & Liability

Guests are responsible for any damage to the hotel rooms or other parts of the hotel. Any damages will be charged to the guest.

Safety

In the event of an emergency, hotel guests should immediately follow the instructions of the staff. It is important that emergency exits remain clear and that no obstacles are placed in the corridors.

Public garden

Access and Use

The garden is public and open to all guests of Kasteel Oost. We ask guests to treat the garden with respect and behave appropriately so that everyone can enjoy its beauty.

Behavior in the Garden

Please be considerate of other visitors: noise, objects lying around or annoying behavior will not be permitted. Use of the garden is for relaxation and recreation, not for large events or parties without prior approval.

Protection of Nature

The garden contains various plants, ponds and natural areas. We ask guests not to pick or damage flowers, plants or other natural materials. No trash should be left behind. Please use the trash receptacles provided.

Pets

Pets are allowed in the garden, provided they are supervised and do not disturb other guests. Pets must be leashed at all times.

Privacy, filming & photography

Photography and Video

Taking photos and videos is permitted at the venue, but we ask guests to be respectful of others. It is not permitted to take images of other guests, staff or private property without permission. We are happy to make our venue available for wedding photography at Kasteel Oost. This service is available for €250.

Social Media

Guests are free to share photos and videos on social media as long as it does not cause a nuisance to other guests. Please do not share inappropriate or disruptive content that places others in uncomfortable situations.

Private life

We value the privacy of our guests. It is prohibited to record or share confidential or personal information of others without permission.

Other

Parking

Parking is available in designated spaces. Parking is at your own risk.

Compliance with rules

By entering the premises of Kasteel Oost you agree to these house rules. In case of violation, we reserve the right to take action or deny access.
